Setup EasyCopy at your Windows systems utilizing the floating license

To install and use the EasyCopy License Dispatcher (for your floating license), you need to install EasyCopy at least once as a Network installation. You will have to install this at your Windows machine with IP address: x.xxx.xx.xx After having done so, start EasyCopy: Start->Programs->EasyCopy 7.2->EasyCopy from this (same) machine, and install the password string:

xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx

from the

Options->Password dialog.

NOTE: This machine, acting as the License Dispatcher (license server), needs to have a FIXED IP address, meaning you can't use it on a machine getting it's IP address from a DHCP server (please ask your system administrator)

After this, press:

Start->Programs->EasyCopy->EasyCopy License Dispatcher

and press

"Start"

Check (after 20 sec.) that the License Dispatcher is up and running and includes the ONE license, press:

"Status"

If it does not reply with a "running" status, please run the below command, and verify that no error messages is displayed (should say that the License Dispatcher is up running shortly)

C:\Program Files\AutoGraph\EasyCopy 7.2> ecdaemon status

When this is done, and Ok, you can now decide

if you want to install EasyCopy locally/individually on all your client machines,

or

you want to use a shared Network installation from a shared drive/path.

If you install EasyCopy on a shared drive, you only need to install the password string once (Options->Password), then all users (clients) can see this password, and be able to access the License Dispatcher on IP address:

xxx.xxx.x.x

Hopefully the above will help you getting EasyCopy to run in your network environment.
