Some guide lines regarding your new EasyCopy update installation
Assuming you have installed EasyCopy v8.0 in another directory than v7.3!
1) To get your installed base of printers available in the new EasyCopy 8.0 version, copy your printer configuration files from your old EasyCopy 7.3 <EasyCopy directory>/printers/* to the new location: EasyCopy 8.0 <EasyCopy directory>/printers
2) Stop the ecdaemon in your 7.3 installation: ecdaemon stop
3) Install the new EasyCopy v8.0 password in your new installation:
Become root cd to EasyCopy path type: ./install select: Password Maintenance select: Install Password enter the password string exit
4) Start the new v8.0 ecdaemon: ecdaemon start
As long as EasyCopy v7.3 is still available in your system the users can run v7.3 with the new v8.0 password.
When you are ready to go for 8.0 only, you can delete your old EasyCopy v7.3 installation.
You can only have one license dispatcher running at one server, so in the period where you have both EasyCopy 7.3 and EasyCopy 8.0 installed the users can choose whether they want to run 7.3 or 8.0, but with the limitation of the total of purchased licenses.
