HOWTO Change Product Password

As Subscriber you have free password change as part of your Subscription Service.

 

Prerequisites:

  • Information about your old Primary Key and IP address ( either from your current installation or from your received product password/license key
  • Information  about New primary key and IP address. Upon installation of EasyCopy on your machine or (if your license is controlled by  the EasyCopy license dispatcher) on your license server.  Go to File, Help & Info, Password
The IP address needs to be static !
  1. Copy the 3 lines from the Password dialog

The Password Change process:

  1. Log-in to the Subscriber Site on http://www.myeasycopy.com with your registered username and password.
  2. If you do not have a login please request a login by calling your local EasyCopy representative or by sending an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

  3. In the Subscriber Login area login and go to "Download and Password".
  4. If you have forgotten your username select "Forgot your Username? "

    If you have forgotten your password please select "Change your Password"

    In both cases use your registered e-mail and you will receive an e-mail, from where you can make the relevant changes

  5. Select  "Change Product Password"
  6. Fill in the requested information
  7. Submit the form

You will then receive a new password for the product(s) shortly.

 


 

Installation of new dispatcher password:

When you have received  the new password / license key

  1. Stop  ecdaemon
  2. Install the new password string ( copy/paste as one line and without any #)
  3. If you have more than one password to install repeat step 2

  4. Wait a couple of minutes
  5. You are up and running

If you are experiencing problems with the new password installation

  • Check the agipass file in the easycopy systems directory
  • Comment out previous password(s) with a #
  • Follow above step 1-4 again
